One Tuesday Morning
Eleven years ago I woke up to a world that, unknown to me, would be irrevocably changed before lunchtime. I remember standing at the counter watching news coverage on the school office television as we waited to let the students into the building that morning. These days, none of my students was even alive at that time. They’ve never known a world without TSA agents, a Department of Homeland Security, or Ground Zero. I miss the old world.
